Description
"Formosa Lavender Azaleas" are a popular spring flower growing in abundance around Mobile, Alabama. These beauties were found blooming at the Mobile Botanical Gardens during a visit there in 2015.
Mobile, also known as the Azalea City, is famous for its Azalea Trail, a 35 mile route traversing the city where you will not only see a beautiful display of the flowers around town, but also some lovely homes and gardens. There is also an Azalea Trail Run, considered one of the United States' premier road races, held in late March each year which brings many runners to the city. Azalea Trail Maids, made up of fifty high school seniors each year, act as ambassadors for the city, appearing in a variety of festivities each year, such as the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York City.
At the Mobile Botanical Gardens you will find a lovely display of not only azaleas, a member of the Rhododendron family, but many other flowers and trees. Bellingrath Gardens, a short drive to Theodore, Alabama, has a much larger abundance of these lovely spring blooms and many other plants.

The colors really do sing with the magentas and pinks and the greens surrounding the flower. God's creation of flowers is one of the most beautiful things on earth and your tribute here honors them so wonderfully. F/L.

Thank you, Randy! I am so honored by your compliment! God's flowers truly do make our world much more beautiful than it would be in their absence! Thanks so much for the F/L, Randy! Always appreciated!
