A beautiful row of evergreen trees lines the roadway near the entrance into the parking lot at Mobile Botanical Gardens in Mobile, Alabama.

This version of my "Evergreens at the Botanical Gardens" image uses a sunny day effect which brightens the image. It is then rendered in black and white with added color saturation providing a deepening of color, then again rendered as a color invert to create the whitened effect seen here.

Although I have no formal training in photography, I have always enjoyed taking pictures. Photography has been a hobby for over 30 years: from the simplicity of a tele-instamatic camera, to learning the intricacies of the more challenging 35mm. I explored 35mm low light photography at Mardi Gras parades with my dad's old Argus camera which had no light attachment. Also used it on vacations, still getting by without any light attachment - the camera was so old an attachment could no longer be purchased for it, if it in deed was ever available. Later, I purchased a Yashica 35GSN and had the ability to use external lighting with it. Eventually I added an APS camera to the mix and in recent years have gone digital.
