My azalea bushes were in full bloom here in Mobile, AL this year (2021). Had to take photos of these beauties! Azaleas are part of the Rhododendron family of flowering shrubs and grow in abundance here. In fact, Mobile is known as the "Azalea City". We have our Azalea City Trail Maids who are Ambassadors for the city and have been part of national events, like the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York City to promote tourism in Mobile.
